CONNECT FAQs

WHAT HAPPENS AT A CONNECT GROUP MEETING?
You’ve probably seen Connect Groups meeting and not even realized it. A small group looks like friends at lunch, teams playing basketball, or people studying a book or topic of interest. At its core, a connect group is a small gathering of people, and it is less about what you do and more about who you do it with. By participating in Connect Groups, you can expect to connect with others through a common activity or interest, engage in life giving conversation and request prayer.

HOW OFTEN DOES A CONNECT GROUP MEET?
Our Connect Groups meet for three semesters a year—winter/spring for 12 weeks, summer for 5 weeks and fall for 12 weeks. During the semester, groups meet once a week. Connect Groups are meant to bring meaning and community into the flow of your life, so even if you can’t attend every meeting, there is still great value in joining a group.

WHERE DO CONNECT GROUPS MEET?
Connect Groups happen all throughout Gwinnett County in homes, at coffee shops, restaurants and various parks!

HOW LONG DOES A TYPICAL CONNECT GROUP STAY TOGETHER?
All Connect Groups meet for a semester. This way, new people can join groups easily and regularly. Also, the semester format allows you to try multiple types of groups each year. As relationships form, some groups choose to stay together for consecutive semesters, but new members are always welcome.

IS THERE CHILDCARE AVAILABLE?
Childcare varies from group to group. When you click the ‘more info’ button for a group, or search our Connect Directory, the group profile will indicate if childcare is available.

WHAT IF I DON’T LIKE THE FIRST GROUP I TRY?
The truth is, not everyone will find the best fit with the first group they try. This is why we encourage you to select a few groups that interest you, contact the leaders and try out a couple different groups before choosing the best one for you. The simple strategy to finding success in Small Groups is to not give up. We believe there is a group that is right for everyone—including you!

HOW CAN I BECOME A CONNECT GROUP LEADER?
We believe that leadership is influence, and we are all called to have influence in our lives. We encourage anyone who would like to lead a connect group to complete our Next Steps pathway, attend C3 Church for 6 months, and then submit this form at the start of one of our Connect semesters.

C3 Kids FAQ

Will I need to feed my child dinner before the conference begins each night?

Yes.  We will provide snacks, waters, and frozen treats each night.

What should my child wear?

The kids will be moving actively during the conference.  We recommend they wear their team t-shirt (distributed the first night of conference), shorts, and sneakers.  We will be outside at the end of the night, so please be sure to spray your children with bug spray beforehand.

Where do I check in my child?

Check in will open each night on the patio during the pre-party.  Once the doors have been opened, you will escort your child to the upstairs C3 Kids welcome desk and drop your child off with a C3 Kids Team member.

Where do I pick up my child?

Pick up will begin at the end of service each night.  Pick up will occur in the outdoor playground area, located to the right of the building (opposite C3 Fitness).
